Afterburn Effect launches afterburneffect.org

(I-Canada-News.Com, July 19, 2012 ) La Prairie, Canada -- Afterburn Effect has announced the launch of a new website devoted to afterburn effect training. The website goes into great details to bring its readers all the information necessary as it relates to the subject, as well as useful tips with regards to how to use it to maximize fat loss.

The last few decades have seen a substantial increase in the overweight populace worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), worldwide obesity more than doubled since 1980. In addition, the WHO reports that obesity is the fifth leading risk for global deaths.

Losing weight and keeping fit are therefore essential to living a full, healthy life. One way to achieve this is via the Afterburn Effect. Known as Excess Post Oxygen Consumption, or EPOC, the afterburn effect occurs after you’ve finished exercising. The expression, afterburn effect, is used to relate the increase in metabolism a body undergoes following a workout, and the calories burned as a direct result.

According to Afterburn Effect, the best afterburn training results are achieved when you create what is called an Oxygen-Debt. This is when you reach the point where you start to huff and puff to take in air. Reaching this point essentially puts your body in a state of disarray, which triggers the afterburn effect. Not creating an Oxygen-Debt state causes the body to remain stable and balanced, known as the homeostasis state, and thereby not burning any extra calories.

The website emphasizes the importance of afterburn workouts. One such workout is called the Turbulence Training. According to the site, the training was developed by Craig Ballantyne, a fitness expert with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

The exercise program requires as little as 3 sessions a week of training with each session lasting no longer than 45 minutes. The program only requires little equipment and can even be performed using only your bodyweight.
