The balls then land in the elephantÂ’s big ears. If the balls land in one ear they puff back out of the trunk. If they land in the other ear they slide to a compartment near the elephantÂ’s feet, encouraging the child to put them back in the ears.
“Babies love the surprise of not knowing where the balls are coming from. And because the balls do come to a resting spot, it encourages babies to retrieve the balls and place figure out where to place them next,” added Carter.
