Arotech Corporation (ARTX), a provider of quality defense and security products for the military, law enforcement and security markets, announced today that itÂ’s Battery and Power Systems Division has has received new orders totaling more than $1.6 million for batteries, chargers and state of charge indicators from a number of international customers. The various battery components will be used in communications equipment, night vision surveillance and to power unmanned air vehicle (UAVs).

China Technology Development Group Corporation (CTDC), a growing integrated clean energy group based in China that provides solar energy products and solutions, today announced that the Company has entered into a Stock Purchase Agreement (the "Stock Purchase Agreement") with China Technology Solar Power Holdings Limited ("CTSPHL Group") and its direct and indirect shareholders to acquire a 51% equity interest and become the major shareholder of CTSPHL Group.

"The Chinese government has been very supportive of the development of renewable energy. Chinese President Hu Jintao listened to our project briefing in March in Beijing with great interest. He highly praised our endeavor in solar plant development. On September 22, 2009, President Hu reiterated China's goal of reaching 15% renewable energy by 2020 at the UN climate summit in New York."
