SharePoint’s native calendar is one-dimensional in that it is able to collect data from Microsoft Outlook and no other sources. For companies who have adopted Google Calendars or who need to aggregate content from other SharePoint sites or external Sharepoint calendars, SharePoint’s out-of-the-box calendar is simply not enough…. This was why this new Sharepoint calendar webpart was created.
KWizCom’s SharePoint Calendar Plus provides a centralized calendar that interacts with SharePoint tasks and lists, Microsoft Outlook Web Access, Google Calendars and can be customized to interact with other platforms.
Users can add and edit items in a SharePoint list directly from KWizCom’s Calendar Plus, or they can create and update Outlook meetings and appointments through an easy-to-use scheduling assistant. KWizCom’s Calendar Plus can even display events for multiple Outlook accounts in a single calendar, complete with customizable color coding for different calendars and event types.
KWizCom’s Calendar Plus can retrieve information from the following sources:
• SharePoint Lists – retrieve events from any number of SharePoint lists of any type on any location.
• Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) –display each user's meetings/events or public/shared Outlook calendars on the same aggregated calendar view.
• Google Calendar –include events coming from Google Calendar in Portal/Team calendars
• Any other system – Calendar Plus provides a Web Service API that can integrate calendars with any other system.
