China Kangtai Cactus Biotech Inc. (CKGT), a vertically integrated grower, developer, manufacturer and marketer of a variety of cactus-based products in China, announced today that the company has signed a five-year cooperative production agreement with Jiangsu Nanhuanghai Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. to produce cactus-based cigarettes. The new patented cactus cigarettes are expected to increase sales by approximately $220,000 in the fourth quarter. In the last trading session, the stock closed at $1.66. The company opened up to $1.86 on well above average trading volume.
Far Vista Interactive, (FVSTA), a leading game company in Saskatchewan, today announced that Shanda Interactive Entertainment has agreed to discuss the licensing and distribution of Gauntlet for the Chinese market.
Shanda (SNDA), also listed on the NASDAQ, is a leading interactive entertainment media company in China with more than 800 million registered accounts and has invested more than US$40 million in approximately 30 online games. Meetings have been held with Diana Li, Corporate Vice President and Frank Wu, Business Development Manager in Shanghai.
According to Bruce Hoggard, Far Vista Interactive’s Senior Executive VP Marketing and International Development, “The discussions and review of the Far Vista Tournament: Run the Gauntlet could prove to be a pivotal point in Far Vista Interactive’s strategy to make it available to game players in China.”
In the last trading session, the stock closed at $0.31. The company opened up to $0.44 in early trading volume.
