EMAILWIRE.COM, September 11, 2016 ) Calgary, AB -- The Southern Alberta Bakers Association - SABBA, holds this golf tournament each year and this year, it was held at the beautiful
Valley Ridge Golf Club on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016. SABBA's main initiative is to raise funds for the Baking and Pastry Arts programs at both SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) and NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).
Guests were invited to the 43rd annual golf tournament hosted at the Valley Ridge Golf Club located only 15 minutes away from Calgary's downtown core. Participants were encouraged to join in the fun filled day of great golf, great food, great prizes and great friends along with the vivid sights offered by the valley as well as the sounds of nature.
SAIT utilizes the donations from SABBA to provide bursaries to two first year students in their while NAIT typically uses the funding to update equipment in their school kitchen. Money and food were also raised throughout the day for the Food Bank. Over 125 attendees participated in the golf tournament and many more joined for the dinner portion in support for these two great causes.
