Better 3D View Explains How Circular Polarized Glasses Work

(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 04, 2016 ) Montreal, QC -- Better 3D View held a press conference yesterday to explain how circular polarized passive 3D glasses work. According to the company spokesperson, they held this conference to let people know the importance of their product on the market.

"We're glad that people are here today. This is to make them understand how our passive 3D glasses work," the spokesperson said.

At the basis, it is important to know that there are two images being projected or displayed by the projector/TV at the same time. That's the reason why 3D images look blurry when not wearing the filtering 3D glasses.

The pair of 3D glasses contains the appropriate polarization filters to make sure each eye only receives one of the two images. With circular polarized lenses, this means that the lenses have opposite circular polarization. The easiest to compare this to are blinds in front of a window. When they are half open, it is only possible to see a certain part of the image behind the blinds. If the blinds have different filtering for each eye, as a result each eye will receive a different image. The brain does the rest of the work and combines these two different images into one image with depth.

The company further deepens the subject by explaining that both linear and circular polarized lenses work to provide threedimensional viewing. However, the circular polarized lenses allow the viewers to tilt their head without any disruption of the separation of left and right filters, while linear (horizontal and vertical filtering) will disrupt the filtering if tilted.

During the end of the spokesperson's discussion, he emphasized that their 3D glasses are more enjoyable as compared to the conventional linear lenses. However, he made a clarification saying that their product cannot be used in IMAX theaters as they use a linear system, but only with RealD 3D systems and all passive TV sets for at home. These are all fit with circular polarized systems. More information about circular polarization and linear polarization has been published on Better 3D View's blog.

The Better 3D View's passive 3D glasses are now available on Amazon.
