It's part of their mission to help others learn lessons that they themselves have absorbed in their careers.
"I began my work in the industry in 1999, when stock prices of tech companies began climbing through the roof and were growing by 5,000%," reveals Ser, who's the overall trading guru of the company. "I was in the tech industry then, and so I was in the right place at the right time."
He quit his job as a tech and became a fulltime day trader. After the boom, he spent several years in frustration until he succeeded in 2005. He then proceeded to open a training facility that would impart the lessons he learned to students who also have the same ambition to becoming professional traders.
"It was a span of a few years where I studied hard, stayed up late, and saw no results," said Ser. "It took years to figure out the lessons I learned in the markets and it is my absolute joy to pass it on to my students."
Ser has many notable success stories among his students, and one of the most famous examples is his current business partner Andy Man, who started out as a civil engineer. Man attended a stock trading program taught by Ser in 2006, and then proceeded to learn as much as he could with Ser to improve his trading skills.
"I liked the idea of just trading part time as
a stock trader, and I can work at any time because I dealt with the gold and silver market which was open 24 hours a day," admits Man. "Much like Mike, I had to study the market for years, failed a lot, made way more mistakes than I want to admit. I guess the one good thing I did was that I did not give up even though my family and friends at the time told me I was crazy to keep pursuing trading."
Man adds, "After digging in and staying committed, my big breakthrough came in 2011, when I turned my $1,600 into almost $1.7 million."
